Somaliland envoy to Taiwan Mohamed Omar Hagi has arrived in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.

Taiwan and Somaliland recently signed a political agreement that angered China and Somalia.

Somaliland’s envoy to Taiwan tweeted that he had arrived in Taipei.

Somaliland’s first Representative to Taiwan was welcomed by the country’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu, adding Mr. Hagi “braved Chinese pressure”.

Somaliland’s envoy to Taiwan arrives in the country’s capital while a Chinese delegation opposes the Taiwan agreement in Hargeisa.
