Hargeisa (SD) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirizak Khalif Ahmed today received the UK Ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster, Stuart Brown, head of the UK government’s Hargeisa office, and Khadar Muhumed, head of politics at the UK office.

The meeting discussed how to accelerate key legislation of mutual interest and how to strengthen cooperation between the British Government’s Hargeisa office and the Somaliland House of Representatives.

The British ambassadors pledged to help develop the Somaliland parliament’s relations with parliaments and the international community.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives Mr. Said Mire Farah (Girre), House of Representatives International Relations Advisor Abdirizak Ibrahim and Planning Director of the House of Representatives Abdinasir Osman.
