Las Anod Feb 26, 2023 (SD) – The Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives, Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed, spoke to the media about the ongoing conflict in the city of Las Anod, which has seen a lot of bloodshed over the past three weeks.

The Speaker stated that there is a significant loss of life and damage to property in Las Anod due to the conflict and that the situation is tantamount to war crimes.

He also stated that he has undertaken various efforts to resolve the conflict and was sabotaged by president Muse Bihi.

The speaker also stated that the town has been subjected to indiscriminate shelling by Somaliland forces and that they have attacked vital institutions including hospitals.

He accused the Somaliland forces of committing war crimes in the region and stated that the town was bombed on the orders of Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi.
