Hargeisa (SD) – The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail (Saylici) attended a farewell ceremony for a Somaliland student who received a scholarship from Taiwan.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Taiwan to the Republic of Somaliland, the Chairman of the Higher Education Committee, Ministers, the Mayor of the Capital, Members of Parliament, Directors General and other officials.

The Vice President thanked Taiwan for providing scholarships to Somaliland students, and also noted that the Somaliland embassy in Taiwan had made significant strides during its stay in the country.

The 1st Anniversary of Somaliland-Taiwan Relations was also commemorated today at the ceremony where Somaliland students were presented with scholarships by Taiwan.
