Hargeisa (SD) – The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) has launched the Somaliland Health and Social Survey Program.
The launch of the health survey program was also attended by Ministers of Health, Planning and Social Affairs.
The Minister of Health Development, Omar C. Abdullahi, speaking at the launch of the health and social survey in Somaliland, highlighted the importance of the survey to the country.
“It is a very important survey that sheds light on many issues related to health, water and social issues. It contains a wealth of information that we will use for a variety of purposes,” he said.
The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) suggested that the information be written in Somali for the benefit of the Somaliland community.
“Writing information in Somali is important by putting it in newspapers, radio and television on a daily basis so that it can be presented to the public so that each region knows its strengths and weaknesses.” Saylici said.
The Somaliland Health and Social Survey Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Development and the Ministry of Planning and National Development, is to outline the country’s health status and vision.
