Somalilanders stranded in Djibouti finally come Home

Hargeisa (SD) – 49 Somaliland nationals stranded in Djibouti in recent days due to Coved-19 reasons have arrived in Hargeisa airport today.

Information on how these 49 Somalilanders ended up in Djibouti and where they were from were not made available to the Public.

The Somaliland ambassador to Djibouti, Abdifatah Said Ahmed and other officials from both Somaliland and Djibouti worked on having these citizens back in their country.

As the citizens arrive today, the government placed them on a mandatory isolation in a previously designated facility in the capital Hargeisa.

Djibouti is currently has one if the highest cases of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region.
