South West State of Somalia contradicts Feds on ATMIS

BAIDOA (SD)-The South West State of Somalia has opposed a recent statement made by Somalia’s National Security Advisor Hussein Sheikh Ali, who said that Ethiopian troops would completely withdraw from the country by the end of 2024.

A statement published on the South West State Ministry of Security’s official account on X (formerly known as Twitter) mentioned that Ethiopian troops play a crucial role in the country.

The statement also described the comments made by National Security Advisor Hussein Sheikh Ali as misleading.

Hundreds of soldiers, part of the ATMIS mission, operate in Baidoa and other districts within the South West State.
