Hargeisa (SD) – Students of Barwaqo University, Abaarso School and their parents dismissed the allegations against President Joy Isa, accused of spreading Christianity at the university.

Students and parents accused those spreading rumors against Isa of having ulterior motives, like to undermine Somaliland’s development.

“Four women cannot change 200 girls. You are insulting our wisdom, that of our parents, insulting Somali identity, insulting Somaliland. I see it as a coup d’etat, and the story goes beyond Barwaaqo and Abaarso, ”said Fadumo, a student at Barwaqo University.

The parents said they will sue Abdimalik Muse Oldon, who alleged that Joy Isa was spreading Christianity at the university, accusing Oldon of insulting the dignity of their children.

“Our Daughters are defamed, we hired lawyers, we will go to court. We demand evidence and we will not stop until we get it.” said one of the students’ mothers.

The principal of Barwaqo University, Joy Isa, has been accused by some of spreading Christianity at the university, as news of her being a Pastor surfaced recently.
