Mogadishu (SD) – The Somali Police Force Command released preliminary details of a suicide bombing that took place tonight in Shangaani district of Banadir region.

Somali police spokesman Sadiq Adan Doodishe said in a statement that the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber, who targeted a restaurant.

A police spokesman said in a statement that 10 people had been targetted in the blast, six dead and four injured.

“At around 19:00 tonight, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a tea stall, gathering young people. The casualties are 6 dead (4 teenagers, 1 boy and suicide bomber) and 4 others injured, near the Shangaani District Police Station, ”said Somali police spokesman Sadiq Adan.

The restaurant targeted is located not far from the Shangaani district police station, and police closed the entrances to the area.

No one has claimed responsibility for today’s attack in Mogadishu.
