Mogadishu (SD) – A suicide bomber blew himself up at a Lul Yemeni restaurant in the Hamar Jajab district of Banadir Region.

Major Sadiq Adan Ali said the suicide bomber was prevented from entering the restaurant, which reduced the number of casualties.

Local media is reporting that the blast killed three people, including the bomber, and injured two others near a restaurant.

The scene of the blast is close to the main port and Mogadishu’s central prison and is frequented by government employees working in various locations.

A photo taken at the scene of the blast, which was posted on social media, appeared to have caused extensive damage to area businesses.
