Targeted Minister in tonight’s bombing in Mogadishu and his condition

Mogadishu (SD) – Details are emerging of a powerful explosion has recently taken place in the center of Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Reports say the blast targeted a convoy of vehicles escorting the Minister of Labor and Employment.

Federal Minister of Labor and Employment Duran Ahmed is said to have survived the blast, which was a landmine blast.

The blast took place near the former presidential palace of Abdi Qasim, and there were reports of unconfirmed casualties.

Such bombings occur in Mogadishu and often target Somali government officials and troops.

There was no immediate word from the Benadir regional administration or federal security agencies about the blast.
