DHUSAMAREB (SD) – Galmudug military court sentenced a Somali National Army soldier who killed another soldier at Gorgor military base on the outskirts of Dhusamareb.

The court heard the case against the soldier and handed down a verdict, for allegedly having killed a soldier named Nuradin Deek Mohamed.

The convicted soldier, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ahmed, who, according to the court, killed Nuradin Deek Mohamed, had previously been charged with murder.

The court, after hearing the testimony of witnesses and other evidence presented, issued an official verdict, and sentenced Abdirahman Abdullahi Ahmed to 15 years in prison and to pay 100 Camels in compensation for the family of the deceased.
