DUBAI (SD) – The leaders of Jubaland and Puntland administrations, Ahmed Madobe and Said Deni, who have been in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in recent days, are reported to have resolved a long-standing dispute and differences between the two leaders.
The UAE government succeeded in mediating the conflict between the two leaders, who were once close allies but later split due to the election in which President Hassan Sheikh won and appointed Hamza Barre as Prime Minister—a position Said Deni had sought.
According to our sources, Said Deni and Ahmed Madobe have now settled their past grievances and have renewed their alliance, openly opposing the interests of Villa Somalia.
The two leaders of Jubaland and Puntland are expected to travel to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, where they are likely to begin political movements against Villa Somalia and plan new strategies.
The leaders of Puntland and Jubaland are also anticipated to join the opposition coalition opposing Villa Somalia’s agenda. Most of this coalition is currently based in Mogadishu, engaging in political organizing and holding private meetings.
