HARGEISA (SD) – The President-elect of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), met with a large delegation led by the U.S. Ambassador, Richard H. Riley, accompanied by AFRICOM military commanders.

The President-elect stated that they had a deep discussion with the delegation on strengthening the relationship between the Republic of Somaliland and the United States.

President Abdirahman Irro noted that the delegation conveyed a congratulatory message from the U.S. government.

According to the Somaliland News Agency (SOLNA), the President-elect mentioned that the elections held in the Republic of Somaliland on November 13th attracted significant international attention, which will bring international investment opportunities to Somaliland.
