Garoowe June 03, 2023 (SD) – The Puntland Electoral Commission officially announced today the results and list of elected members of the Regional Parliament in the recently held elections in Puntland.

According to the Commission’s statement, a total of 186 candidates participated in the elections, and the Regional Parliament members were elected from 30 districts in Puntland.

The districts of Nugaal region, including the capital city Garowe, had their elections postponed due to local politicians who disagreed with the election plan proposed by President Said, which they believed would prolong his term.

The majority of the elected members of the Regional Parliament are affiliated with the KAAH political association, led by President Deni.
