(SD) – The Somali National Army has carried out a planned operation in the Lower Shabelle Region, especially in the village of Kili-Jiido under the Janaale area.

During the short period of the fighting, the forces claimed that they killed a number of Al-Shabaab fighters, wounding others.

The armed forces added that they also captured weapons, destroying military positions belonging to Al-Shabaab, according to their statement.

The Commander of the Armed Forces, General Odawa Yusuf Rage, noted that operations are being carried out across the country to fight Al-Shabaab, and at the same time operations against Al-Shabaab will continue.
