Mogadishu (SD) – The Federal Government of Somalia in a released statement, strongly condemning the gruesome attack in Gololey village under Balcad District of Middle Shabelle, in which 8 civilians were killed.

The murdered civilians were said to be health care workers at a local medical facility in the remote region.

The Somali Government’s statement on the killing of civilians in Gololey pointed the finger on the terrorist groups “ Such acts of genocide against innocent civilians are well-known by terrorist groups who are the enemies of the Somali people and their stability, who are also working to create conflicts among our societies.”.

However, local elders in Gololey have accused government soldiers on the killing of the health care workers.

“The Somali government is sharing its pain with the bereaving families and it is begging Allah to grant them Paradise”. Said the government.

The Somali federal government in their statement claimed to have ordered a full investigation “‘The government has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident and will try to bring the perpetrators to justice. ”
