MOGADISHU (SD) -Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Abdikadir Mohamed Nur, currently on an official visit to Turkey, held a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Defense, Yaşar Güler.

During the meeting between Somalia’s Defense Minister Abdikadir Mohamed Nur and his Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler, the focus was on strengthening the relationship between the two countries, ensuring regional security, and combating al-Shabaab militants in the country.

Minister Nur and Minister Güler signed a historic Defense and Economic Cooperation Agreement to enhance security in Somalia and the region, which took place at the Turkish Ministry of Defense headquarters.

Minister Abdikadir Mohamed Nur, speaking about the meeting, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Somali government to Turkey for its consistent support and brotherly solidarity towards the Somali people and government in times of need.
