Mogadishu (SD) – Somali government receives armored vehicles the government of Turkey, according to state media.
A ceremony held in Mogadishu was attended was attended by Minister of State for the Ministry of Defense, Mohamed Ali Hagaa and Chief of Army, Gen. Yusuf Odowa Rage and the Turkish ambassador to Somalia.
All praise is to Allah, I would also like to thank everyone who has contributed in getting this valuable resource that we have acquired today from the Turkish government, who helped in rebuilding the Somali National Army” said Chief of Army, Gen. Yusuf Odowa Rage.
The Somali government, which is currently in the process of holding elections in the country, meanwhile, government forces are conducting heavy operations across Somalia in pursuit of Al Shabaab militants.
