MOGADISHU (SD) – At least two people have been killed and more than five others wounded after heavy explosion occurred near Somalia’s presidential palace.
A suicide bomber driving Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) targeted several vehicles waiting to pass through a security checkpoint at border between Waberi and Hamarweyne districts.
Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the attack saying it was targeting senior government officials.
