MOGADISHU (SD) – At least two people have been killed and two others including a soldier were injured after improvised explosive device (IED) suspected to have been planted on a road hit a car in Mogadishu.

According to witnesses, a car carrying police officers was targeted with the blast on mid-morning in Hilwa district, killing two civilians.

The driver of the car and a civilian who were injured in the attack were rushed to a nearby hospital.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
