Mogadishu (SD) – The United States embassy in Mogadishu has issued a new statement regarding the Dhusamareb 3 conference and the upcoming elections in the country.

In a statement posted on its Twitter account, the US embassy said it was eagerly awaiting the outcome of the third conference in Dhusamareb, scheduled to start on the August 15 2020.

The statement from the United States is yet another message that seems to be aimed at the political leaders in Somalia, which seemed to be mired in a never ending political feuds.

The US Embassy criticized Villa Somalia and parliament following the removal of Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre, and has threatened action against an unnamed group it called spoilers.
