Washington (SD) – The US State Department spokesman has addressed the electoral crisis in Somalia and about the political situation in Somalia.

Spokesman Ned Price held a press conference calling for the resumption of talks between Somali leaders on electoral issues in order to hold elections.

The spokesman also warned that the establishment of a prolonged interim administration in Somalia which could lead to instability.

The United States is increasingly concerned about the upcoming elections in Somalia, according to a recent statement from the US Ambassador to Somalia.
