Mogadishu (SD) -The information director of the Somali presidency Abdinur Mohamed Ahmed, announced today that the conference between President Farmajo and the presidents of Puntland and Jubaland will officially open tonight.

In a brief statement posted on his Facebook page, the director said the two sides had a preliminary meeting last night ahead of their scheduled meeting tonight, on Somalia’s disputed 2021/2020 election process.

Director Abdinur also noted in his statement that Somalia’s Federal President Farmajo hosted a dinner reception for the Presidents of Puntland and Jubaland at Villa Somalia last night.

“The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, will tonight officially open the electoral talks between the Federal Government of Somalia and the Puntland and Jubaland States. Last night, the leaders attended a dinner and reception at Villa Somalia as a prelude to tonight’s meeting,” said Abdinur.

The meeting between President Farmajo and the leaders of Puntland and Jubaland, is about resolving Puntland and Jubaland concerns of Dhusamareb 3 electoral agreement.
