Galkayo (SD) – The Puntland government has today closed four schools in Galkayo, the regional capital of Mudug region, for allegedly violating the Puntland education system.
According to Puntland Mudug Regional Education Commissioner Ahmed Huruse Hashi, the closed schools are National School, Abdullahi Yusuf School, Hormuud School and Waberi School.
Governor Huruse said the four schools were closed after they have violated the Puntland Education System as they have no permits from the ministry.
He also confirmed the arrest of the principals and one teacher, who will be prosecuted.
