Wadani Chairman contracts Covid-19

Hargeisa (SD) – Chairman of the opposition Wadani party, Abdirahman Irro, has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus, after a medical examination, according to a statement released.

In a statement posted on his Twitter account, the chairman confirmed he had contracted the virus and would be in quarantine for seven days.

He said that his health is good, and that he will take his doctor’s advise to quarantine for seven days.

“I have been tested for COVID-19 and will be in isolation for seven days. I do not have any serious symptoms at the moment, ”the chairman said.

Irro has recently traveled to some European countries and held various meetings with the Somaliland community in those countries.

He also met with international donors supporting Somaliland’s electoral process, although it was not immediately clear if he had the disease.

The Coronavirus epidemic appears to be re-emerging worldwide, at a time when the virus was thought to have disappeared.
