ELBUH (SD) – A statement from the recent meeting held by the Warsangeli clan in the Elbuh area announced the nullification of the clan agreement that had governed the cohabitation in the city of Erigavo, the capital of Sanag region.

The statement from the Warsangeli meeting, which consists of seven points, declared that the clan agreement (Four Clan Agreement) for living together in Erigavo had completely collapsed, citing that the Isaaq clan had breached it.

The Warsangeli clan also decided to fully defend the town of Erigavo, which Somaliland had forcefully taken over, displacing all Harti clanspeople and seizing their land and property.

The clan declared that Somaliland and the Isaaq clan, who govern the region, bear full responsibility for all the loss of life and property damage that occurred in Erigavo, as they had launched a clan-based attack on the town.

The meeting also appointed a 35-member committee responsible for defense and conflict, and it was agreed to convene another grand meeting for self-determination on February 15, 2025.
