Jidda(SD)-President of the Republic of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has given a speech to hundreds of Somalilanders living in that country.

“I would like to thank the Somaliland community in Saudi Arabia, including tonight’s support and for your love of country, Somaliland is in good condition and I want you to know it is safe, stable and everything is working in the right way, Wherever there are people, there is conflict. But, there needs to be less conflict, and uniting people is what the government is all about” said the president.

On the other hand, President Muse Bihi spoke about the value of security and that the government’s primary duty is to protect citizens.

“Security is internal and external. We are both responsible for it, the interior violence emphasis is put on, as much as possible, with advice from many areas, “said President Muse Bihi.

The Somaliland president is yet to address the controversial photo op with Somalia ministers during Hajj.

All Somali speaking public, specifically, the Somaliland puplic were eager to hear the president’s explanation of what led to the picture with Somalia Ministers.

More importantly, the public wanted to know the presidents change of heart regarding meeting with Somalia’s politicians.

It will be interesting to see the president go back on his earlier accusations of “Somaliweyn” to fellow Somaliland politicians.

The Somalia ministers who were seen pictured with the Somaliland President gave their account of the photo.   

President Bihi will have to address the Somaliland public upon his return.
