Dhusamareb (SD) – At least three people were killed in clashes between Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a and Federal government troops in the central town of Dhusamareb.

The clashe began after a group of pro-Ahlu Sunna teens wo were upset over the arrest an Ahlu Sunna official for a short time by government forces last night forced their way through a military check point.

The Teens, who fired at the check point, then entered Ahlu Sunna center called Inji, the Somali forces in pursuit opened fired on the center.

The fighting continued for hours then stopped on its own, according to residents who life in that part of Dhusamareb.

The Somali and Ahlu Sunna Authorities have not yet commented on the fighting, and there are efforts by community leaders to calm the situation.

Ahlu Sunna is vehemently against Somalia packed Galmudug state authority and has its own president in the capital, Dhusamareb.
