Hargeisa (SD) – A delegation from the Oromo regional government led by the vice president of the Oromo State has arrived in Hargeisa today.

The delegation is in Somaliland in order to participate in the opening of the Somaliland Industrial trade fair, which will open in Hargeisa tomorrow.

The delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Trade and Industries in Somaliland, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland, and the Somaliland Ambassador to Ethiopia. Somaliland’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Mr. Yusuf Guled provided details of the delegation’s visit to Somaliland.

“The delegation is from Oromiya in Ethiopia. They came to attend the trade fair opening tomorrow at Hadi Grand Hotel in Hargeisa, the trade fair aims to promote our businesses and our products” said the Ambassador.

The Ambassador said that the delegation from the Ethiopian Oromo and another delegation from the Ethiopian Somali Region of Ethiopia, who were welcomed in Tog-Wajale, came to participate the exhibition today.

On Thursday, with the permission of Allah, we will take this delegation to the port of Berbera to explore, “said the Somaliland ambassador to Addis Ababa. On the other hand, Somaliland’s Minister of Commerce Mohamud Hassan Sa’ad (Sajin), also spoke at the welcoming of this delegation from the Oromo Ethiopia, welcomed the delegation to Somaliland.

On the other hand, the vice president of the Ethiopian Oromo State, who led the delegation, said that they see Somaliland as their second homeland, and during their stay will discuss how to strengthen trade relations.
