Kismayo(SD)-Jubbaland State President Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) said he was ready for talks to resolve any issues.

He said that in a speech during recent ceremony to mark the inauguration of his third term, eluding to the dispute with the federal government to be resolved.

Ahmed Madobe reiterated that the Federal Government is the mother of the Federal Government, and that what is needed is for it to bring people together.

The Jubbaland administration continues to face mounting pressure from the federal government, after the government recently said it did not recognize the election in Kismayo.

The Federal Government of Somalia has not acknowledged President Ahmed Madobe’s frequently calls for reconciliation yet.
