Burtinle(SD)-Reports from Buuuldin district in Nugaal region say that armed militias have seized control of the local government headquarters in the district during the selection of the district council.
The Armed Militia protesting the process of selecting members of the Burtinle City Council have closed the local government center and have halted the selection process there.
Some of the elders of Burtinle district are reportedly working to persuade the militias to vacate the local government headquarters and to allow to continue the selection process for MPs.
But the gunmen demand that their clan be given one more councilor in the new local council or else they will remain in the center of operations until their demands are met.
There have been disputes over the selection of the local parliamentarians and the selection process.
