British PM’s girlfriend denied US visa for Somaliland visit

London(SD)-British Prime Minister Mr Boris Johnson’s girlfriend Carrie Symonds applied for a US visa to travel there in the coming days as part of a US-based environmental group but the US government has refused to grant her a visa.

The Daily Mail writes that it is believed that the reason why the United States has denied entry to her was for visiting Somaliland in 2018. Symonds, accompanied by Nimco Ali from Somaliland, came to Somaliland last year and met with the president of Somaliland. Muse Bihi Abdi has been here for five days.

The newspaper says the new British Prime Minister, Mr Boris Johnson, is imbarised by the fact that his partner has been denied a job in the United States.

Miss Symonds had important meetings in the United States with her work as part of a environmental safety organization while Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be at the G7 summit in France.

The Daily Mail reports that the British cannot immediately intervene in the matter as Mr Johnson has not been officially married to Miss Symonds and is still dating her.

The British government and the US embassy in London did not comment on this, but diplomatic sources told the newspaper that two were working to get Mis. Symonds to the United States as planned.
