Hargeisa(SD)-Up to three people have been killed and 18 others injured in torrential downpours in Hargeisa.

The rains had taken many the roofs of the houses, while some had totally collapsed, and the roads in the city were closed due to floods.

President Bihi visited the victims of the rains last night and reported on the extent of the damage while speaking on state television last night.

“Three people were killed and up to 18 injured, and the  casualty was caused by the rain water because people built their homes at the water ways, what is also dangerous for people are electricity pillars and advertising billboards that are easily down by the wind,” Bihi said.

Rain fall in the city last night was frightening, it threatened lots of homes due to the intensity of the winds, nearly blowing away lots homes.
