Election agreement signed in Somaliland

Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland president and opposition party leaders met and discussed a proposed deal on the protected election commission dispute.

At the End of the discussions, the parties and the president agreed to a new framework that combines the previous electoral commissioners along with the new Commissioners and three observers.

At the end of a spirited discussions, Somaliland president and opposition leaders have signed an agreement on election disputes.

The agreement was proposed by the peace Academy and the EU Ambassador to Somalia, Nicholas Berlanga among other stake holders.
