Mogadishu(SD)-In Mogadishu, former Somali Presidents Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, members of opposition parties and politicians discuss the latest political events and government blockade of Kismayo.
The meeting was closed to the media, and the most discussed item was the incident at the Mogadishu airport were a government restricted plane refused to fly former president Sharif Sheikh Ahmed to Kismayo city.
Reports adds that the attendees discussed issues related to the situation in the country, and that it was apparent that todays actions created a new political crisis.
In addition to meeting with opposition parties, the government is also preparing to tackle this issue, with the Minister of Security visited the home of the former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and it’s reported that Sharif Sheikh Ahmed is demanding that the government apologize for his barred flight to Kismayo.
