Former Somali Prime Minister Nur Adde dies in London

London (SD) – Former Prime Minister of Somalia Nur Hassan Hussein (Adde) passed away this morning in London.

The death of the country’s former Prime Minister, Nur Adde, has been confirmed by the media, Haji Mohamed Nur Adde.

Nur Adde has been suffering from Coronavirus for the past two weeks at Kings College Hospital in London.

“My deepest condolences to the Somali people and the family of the late Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein (Nur Adde) who died in London. I pray to Allah to shower him with His mercy in Paradise and give the family patience and faith. ” said current Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheyre.

Nur Adde was appointed prime minister in November 2007, at a time when the TFG was seated in Baidoa.

The deceased has also been prime minister since 2009, before that, serving as president of the Somali Red Crescent Society.

Haji Mohamed, the son of the deceased, said in a statement that he would be buried in London.
