Hargeisa(SD)-President Muse Bihi today addressed the controversy of the new Election Commission members, which the opposition parties have said they have rejected and will not work with.

The president spoke at an event to unveil a Health Fair in Hargeisa, he said he followed the law, and the party’s agreement didn’t include that  members of the previous electoral commission could not be re-elected as a member of the new commission.

The President described Wadani leadership’s decision opposing the House of Representatives approval of the new commission members as a dictatorship,

He spoke about the pressure President of Somalia Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo has on the Somali regions.

Opposition parties say they will not recognize the new electoral commission until the members of the opposition are removed.
