President Farmajo “October 14 is a sad day of remembrance.”

Mogadishu(SD)-The President of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, in a statement on the two-year anniversary of the Zobe bombing in Mogadishu, described it as a special occasion.

October 14th is a sad day for our Somali people, a day when we lost hundreds of citizens who stood for the rebuilding and development of our country.

It is a day in which terrorists brutally massacred hundreds of citizens who were engaged in their daily lives, and orphaned thousands of children.

Every Somali person remembers the traumatic feelings that resulted from this horrific terrorist attack on our people. In the same way it is important to remember the unity, the emergency and how all our Somali people have stood up for our citizens’ oppression.

Since then, the government has intensified planned operations against al-Shabaab terrorists, and our Armed Forces have destroyed enemy bases and inflicted casualties on the area. the enemy was harassing our citizens.

Finally, I ask Allah for mercy on the martyrs who died in the attack, and ordering the Government to be mindful of all citizens who have lost their legements in that attack.
