Hargeisa(SD)-Wadani Secretary of Foreign Affairs Fatima Said resigned today from her position and membership of the party.

Fatima Said said she voluntarily left the party she belonged to and opted to become an independent politician.

Fatima said that Somaliland’s politics had become less than ideal, and that her conscience did not allow her to participate in political parties she couldn’t reform.

Fatima Said was a very active woman in political and humanitarian affairs, and had been very critical of the Kulmiye party’s post-war government.
