Jowhar (SD) – UN Special Representative to Somalia James Swan visited Jowhar yesterday and met with President Ware and members of Hirshabelle administration.

The meeting discussed utilizing the developmental projects provided by the United Nations, as part of a UN delegation was the African Union in Somalia Ambassador Francisco Madeira.

The UN Secretary-General’s representative for Somalia has pledged to help flood victims regain control of their lives.

Hirshabelle regional president Mohamed Abdi Ware and the UN secretary general met in Mogadishu in early October this year.

The trip to the United Nations delegation comes at a time when areas in Hirshabelle region have been hit by heavy floods that have resulted in loss of lives and property damage.
