Garowe(SD)-The Puntland High Court today sentenced three men to death for the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl.

These men, two of whom are brothers, are named; Abdishakur Mohamed Dige, Abdifatah Abdirahman Warsame and Abdisalan Abdirahman Warsame.

Abdifatah, 24, pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl, but denied he had a role in the death of the girl.

Abdishakur, 48, who has been charged with rape and kidnapping and murder, has dismissed all allegations, despite having been found to have undergone DNA test.

The decision comes after the two men appealed the ruling twice before the Nugal regional court upholding the state’s decision.

Aisha Ali Aden, 12, was killed in February in Galkayo.
