Garowe (SD) – Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni, speaking on his government’s goals, has once again pledged his commitment to implementing the multi-party system in Puntland.

“We would like to encourage democracy and elections, we are focused on and serious about the realization of that project, God willing, “said Mr. Deni.

The president said he would register a new political party, which according to him, its name and agenda is currently being prepared, in order to encourage Puntland’s democratization program and implement multi-party elections.

Mr. Deni announced that he would formally announce his new political party in February of this year, after completing its planning face.

Puntland had in the past tried few times and failed implementing both multi party and one person one vote.
