Mogadishu-(SD)-Somalia’s national soccer team beat Burundi 1-0 on Friday in a match played in the regional tournament of East and Central Africa CECAFA.
The two teams of Somali and Burundi are in Group A and held their first match this afternoon, Somalia striker Omar Mohamed scored the lone goal in the 40th minute.
The two-man team presented a thrilling match that was greatly appreciated by the spectators in the stadium.
Group A, which includes Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Uganda and Burundi. Somalia has lost two of its previous three games against Uganda and Eritrea, and has drawn against Djibouti.
