MOGADISHU (SD) – Somali government has formed fact-finding committee to invest last Thursday’s brawl at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport which left more than seven people injured.
In a statement, Somali Internal Ministry for security has appointed a 5-member team to probe the dispute between immigration workers and NISA agents.
The brawl ignited following a dispute over immigration procedures for 3 visiting YouTubers – two Ghanaians and a Somali, according to sources.
“I hereby direct these appointed members to start their work with immediate effect,” said the country’s Minister of Internal Security, Hassan Hundubey
Computers and sections of the arrival were damaged during the brawl, the source said. A video from the scene shows a confrontation between the two sides.
Independent sources at the Airport also confirmed that the incident led to injuries of seven immigration officials among them two in critical condition.
