Hargeisa(SD)-The Commander of the Somaliland Police Force Gen Abdullahi Fadal Iimaan died last night at a hospital in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland.

Gen. Fadal, who was reportedly ill in recent days in the city of Hargeisa, died last night while being treated for his condition.

The president of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi described the commander as a veteran in the Somaliland army, who had been on involved in the establishment of the Somaliland Police Force.

“He started from the bottom and held various positions in the police force,” according to the presidential statement.
