Hargeisa (SD) – Somaliland is scheduled to hold it’s seventh elections in just couple of days, May 31 2021 to be exact. These are going to be a joint local and parliamentary elections to be held for the first time, and as such would present a unique set of challenges and expectations both internationally and domestically.

To discuss those and other election related issues we reached out to Guleid Ahmed Jama a PhD candidate. Former chair the human rights centre in Somaliland and is also a prominent Human rights activist.
