Hargeisa (SD) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Muse Bihi, spoke to the media in Hargeisa today on the prevalence of Coronavirus in Somaliland.
Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi warns school authorities in Somaliland in reopening prematurely.
Bihi said anyone who reopens schools is no different those who smugle Kat into Somaliland, and legal action will be taken against it.
President Muse Bihi called on the Somaliland public to voluntarily get tested for the Coronavirus, since the testing capacity in the country is increased.
The president stressed that it is important to follow the ministry’s health recommendations, in order to curb community spread of the virus.
He also stressed the need for cleanliness and separation, he warned against shaming the infected and encouraged people to seek medical help in time.
The announcement comes as Somaliland’s health minister announced today that a fifth person died of the disease with a rise of Coronavirus cases in Somaliland.
