BURAO (SD) – A large delegation led by the Chairman of Wadani Party Mr. Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan and Presidential candidate Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro were warmly welcomed in Burao, the capital of Togdher region.

Thousands of party supporters and regional and district leaders welcomed the Wadani delegation in Burao.

Mr. Abdirahman Irro and Mr. Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan thanked the supporters for the warm welcome and spoke about the current situation in the country and the recent steps taken by President Muse’s government.

“The government of President Muse seems to have failed in its leadership of Somaliland. To hide its failure and destruct the people, it has started a political and constitutional crisis. Muse Bihi’s only goal is to extend his term. It will not be happen, we will not accept an extension and we will not accept it… ”Candidate Abdirahman Irro addressing the people of Burao.

Meanwhile, Wadani Party Chairman Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, who also addressed the party’s supporters, said “As a party, we will not watch the people suffer, we will not watch their land taken away, we will not watch their laws being trampled on, we will not watch their government being destroyed. We will tell people to reject anything illegal and we will reject it.”

The visit comes a day after the head of Somaliland’s main opposition party Hersi Hassan was summoned to the CID headquarters for his alleged criticism of President Bihi’s failed leadership.
