Bossaso (SD) – Reports from Bossaso town indicate that at least 10 people were injured in an explosion at a bus stop near the town.
The explosion was caused by a roadside bomb, targeting a military vehicle patrolling the city’s nighttime curfew imposed by Bossaso authorities.
Witnesses said the wounded included nine civilians and a soldier with the security forces.
The explosion came as the Puntland authorities imposed nighttime curfew throughout the regional state.
Last week, the former governor of Nugal was killed in a suicide bombing.
The residence of Puntland’s biggest coastal city is often targeted by suicide attacks by unknown assailants and terrorist groups.
